Aquinas's Argument for Infinite Penalty
Aquinas says the punishment should be measured according to the gravity of the offense. The more grievously a person sins, the more grievously is he punished, Aquinas writes. He argues that it's not the duration of the sin that's going to determine the type of punishment.
