The Labour Party's Criticism of the Orca Steel
Some senior members of the Labour Party have spoken out against Orca Steel. Paul Keating's former foreign minister Gareth Evans is among them. Bob Carr, who was Foreign Minister in both Rudd and Gillard governments, has also raised concerns. But it should be a statement of the obvious to say that with an undertaking of this scale, the capacity, cost and duration, there remain considerable risks and uncertainty.
