It's a bit of dark aether that's taken over twin cells world. It kind of fits. Could be a shard from lost metal and like Eric mentioned, we're going to do an aether episode eventually but we don't know when right down the thought you have. So it means the shard that might have gotten to the planet and the way autonomy has her avatars all over the cosmere. She hijacked that and is using it as a different way to spread influence somehow.
