Well sharks spend most of their time swimming very slowly, cruising just below the surface. Because they're spending so much time right at the surface, we know that they're in the path of ships. They can actually be drawn towards the bow of ships if they're moving far very fast. Or they can cross um across the front of the ship as well, which could lead to a collision.
