The Relationship Between Emotion and Motivation

A child early on doesn't know what they're feeling, right? So if you look at an 18 year old who stumbles and falls, the first thing that they're going to do is look to the adults in the room. And so then a child learns to what they learn to recognize their feelings by looking at the faces of others. This is also where you see people who are externally motivated because they're colorblind to themselves. Because remember, what is the relationship between emotion and motivation? If we want to understand this, go watch a movie, any movie. Doesn't matter what the movie is. That's what they want.
