Is Social Security a Corruption?

It is impossible for somebody with a philosophical orientation like an objectivist to get on the podium, no matter how rational they are today and sell themselves as a political candidate in a climate that is welfare-statized. I mean, how many times do I say, well, look, welfare recipients would be my last reform? You can say that till you're blowing the face. It's obviously all this other stuff in regulation that would go after first, but the whole thing is a corruption. And to begin to think about it in principle is simply impossible in the current context.
