Richard C. Sarafian: A Newcomer to Season Five

Richard C. Sarafian was born in New York in 1930, so would have been in his early 30s at this point. His show business career is quite an unusual one, and I think we can see why when we look at his younger life. As a student, he studied Law and Medicine at university, but he was a poor student apparently until he switched over to film studies. After university, he joined the army and became a reporter for the army new service. But it was during the Korean War that he met the future director Robert Altman,. And like Altman, Sarafian also made the jump from the small screen to the big screen. One of his biggest successes
