Retired Agents - Is There a Transfer Policy in Place?

It used to be that you would go to a small, r medium size office for three to five years and then you would automatically be transferred to one of the top 12 large, major divisions. It was a very expensive policy, and i think that they found that there was enough voluntary movement throughout the fbi that they were able to get that movement in a more natural way. So let's say somebody gets sent to memphis, tennessee or mobile, alabama. They could stay there for their entire career and not have to be concerned about being transferred to l ay or chicago, or philadelphia or new york,.
