How to Get an Internship or Traineeship
A person who is a university student or recent graduate within one year of graduating is classified as an intern. As an intern, you can stay in the United States for up to 12 months. A trainee on the other hand has graduated with a degree and has been in the workforce for a year. You first apply for an internship, then that company will tell you who your visa sponsor is.
