Do Libertarians Want Hard Paternalism?

Paternalism is the view that the state can do things to force you to protect yourself. John Stuart Mull was also the originator of utilitarianism. He talked about two different types of paternalism, there's soft paternalism and hard paternalism. Most libertarians don't want paternalism mixed up with the state. They want their guiding principle to be a principle of liberty.
