Using Hyperbole to Sidestep a Relationship
You could also say, i love how adventurous you are. So there you've complimented them. You said nothing about the specific cut and how you like that, but you just saying general statement that you always look amazing. That's really a nice, socially appropriate way to handle something like that. Another technique you can use if you went a sidestep something is to use hyperbole. Hyperbole is a comment you make when you're going to such an extreme that everyone else will know that can't possibly be true.
