The Impacts of Artificial Lighting on the Night Sky
In an average year in the united states alone, outdoor lighting uses about 120 terra wats hours of energy. A nocturnal animals have to sleep during the day. But light pollution will radically alter their night time environment by turning night basically into day. Glare from night time lighting can create hazards ranging from discomfort to visual dis so there's no argument to be made that artificial light at night can negatively affect human health.
