The Denial of Women's Sexuality
Cecily Bowen: For black women, sexuality is denied. This denial goes deeper because of adultification bias and stereotypes like the Jezebel that render black women as promiscuous deviance only existing in service of men's sexual needs. There is a freedom in sexuality and like sexual expression just like in creative expression or intellectual expression, she says.
