Finnish scholar Walter Guevellius convinced himself and others that by deciphering some ancient code in the Bible, he had discovered the location of the long sought after gold treasures of Solomon. Excavation beneath the noble sanctuary mosque on the Temple Mount was forbidden even then by the Sultan in Istanbul. In 1911 they bribed the Sheiken charge of the noble Sanctuary mosque to send his guards away to a ten day festival outside the city.
