The Revision of the Julian Calendar

The Catholic Church in 1582 made a reform of the Julian calendar called a new calendar called the Gregorian calendar. In 1923, Eastern Christians said: Hey, this is kind of weird. We don't want to go all the way to Gregorian because that feels a little Western to us. So they came up with something called the revised Julian calendar. The biggest church in the biggest or apostolic church which observes the Julian calendar is the Russian Orthodox church.
