Isabel was caught by her cousin's husband, who sent two of his friends to follow her through the new neighborhoods as far as Kobuchah. In days ahead gossip spread through camp: Do you meet a man there? Ask the cousin whose husband had followed her. She missed her friends at Kobuchah, but didn't dare leave camp, lest someone follow her again and discover them.
