The Argument for Artificial Intelligence
I know from prior conversations that you think that it will be obvious when we actually have AI. And so did Turing. But it seems like right now you're saying that there is no test for it, so how could it be obvious if you can't even make a test for it? Well, there are plenty of things that are obvious that we haven't got test for, such as the fact that we have qualia. Another thing is that solipsism isn't true. There's no test for whether the external world is real or not. So I think Turing's argument still stands up.
