Charlotte Perkins Gilman's Hysteria

I love that that's the last phrase of the story. It makes the story like go on in perpetuity. I think it could be almost read as a triumphant ending. That sort of like break of freedom. But she's still in that room. The door is open. He is down and can't do anything. And so it's it to me, you know, reads as the story is not just about these structures that are placed on Victorian women but also there still isn't a cure for her mental illness.
