Is There a Connection to Heart Disease?
There are a bunch of studies that were done around the middle of the 20th century. They looked at heart disease rates in Koreans, Japanese, Africans and then those same genetic groups in the United States. And they had, you know, in the case of the Africans, a zero rate of myocardial infarction. So what causes heart disease? Back in the late, back in the 1980s, there were two doctor scientists named Brown and Goldstein who discovered the LDL receptor.
