ETER is an international nuclear fusion mega project being built in the South of France. It's projected to make about 500 million watts of fusion power, which would be used for powering cities. Ederf says it has been a challenge because there are so many different political systems around the world that can't agree on how to go about making this work. But he adds: "I'm an advocate of multiple attempts at this with different levels of technical risk"
