A Reverse Direct Regress

A Reverse Direct Regress features two life-size mannequins cast from the artist's own body. Purple is a comment on a riot that happened in 1989 in Cape Town, where police used to fire, not fire, hose rioters down with water with purple dye in it. The words the purple shawl govern were kind of graffitied all over South Africa next day. It was an ANC slogan from maybe the 50s or 60s which was the people's shawlgovern.
