Did Teaching Others Help You With Learning a Language?

I try to make my lessons more focused on communicating real messages rather than focusing on grammar points and things like that. Sometimes it can actually be fun to look at grammar and vocabulary sometimes. I, you know, when it's possible, I try to focus on speaking more than anything else. So hopefully it's done both things. It's definitely helped me to understand languages myself too. And hopefully it's made me a better teacher as well.
