Mormonism has brought more people to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ. Many become so hung up on issues of historicity, in particular, that they throw out the baby with the bathwater and walk away. Joseph Smith plagiarized Freemasonry in formulating the Nauvoo Temple Endowment ceremony. The power of Masonic symbolism showed through its Mormon counterpart which was why Smith borrowed so abundantly from it.
