In a role playing game, even the dungeon master doesn't know where it's going to go. And that's why it's so important that you have notes on like the next city or something. So even if you don't know exactly how they would respond to being flirted with, you can kind of improvise it based on the personality notes that you have. That level of uncertainty is what makes me gravitate towards role playing games.

Nicole van der Hoeven is a YouTuber, developer advocate for k6, and Dungeons and Dragons lover. For the last five months, she has organized her life inside of task and knowledge management app Obsidian. We discuss how she uses Obsidian for her YouTube creation, Dungeons and Dragons playing, friendships, and consulting. We talk about how many second-brainers overcomplicate their systems. All it is is taking notes.
