The History of Wrestlemania
Wrestlemania 1 was a culmination event that took place at Madison Square Gardens on March 31, 1985. The main event centered on Hulk Hogan and actor Mr. T against Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Mr. Wonderful Orndorf. It also featured singer Cindy Loper who had been a big part of getting the WWF to become more of a mainstream product. If it hadn't worked, professional wrestling would have probably stayed a regional niche attraction instead of the global powerhouse it now is.
