The Pogroms of the 20th Century
In 18 81 to 19 14, two and a half million jews would leave the russian empire. A full million and a half of those went to the united states. But several hundred thousand others emigrated to western europe or britain. The pogroms together would barely register in comparison with revolutionary terror before that.
