Since 2015, the legalization of same-sex marriage has opened up space for trans conversation culturally and ecclesiaologically to kind of take front and center. The church is starting to realize that we can't just map our view of marriage onto the trans conversation. There seems to be a bit of tension there between if you are gay,. if you won't date a trans man, you're being transphobic," he says.
