A gold digger by definition describes a woman seducing a man for his money, whether that be through marriage or just an evening out on the town. Hypergamy emerged as an anthropological term in reference to marriage across social cast in India,. The concept applies globally has been a thing in almost every culture since like the beginning of time. In recent times some women have become disillusioned with this whole idea of being a she-oh and have instead returned to finding their fortune through marriage.
