Earlier this year, I traveled to Amsterdam’s famous red light district, De Wallen, to uncover the truth about legal prostitution. Instead of finding a system that protects women, I discovered a dark reality where pimps control the industry, and human trafficking runs rampant.
In this video, I talk to real sex workers like Jesslin and Chiela Rosa, who share their firsthand experiences. I also speak with experts like journalist Renate Van Der Zee, who has spent over a decade investigating the sex trade; Frits Rouvoet from Bright Fame, an organization helping women escape prostitution; and Elise Lente from El Roi, a group offering support and care for women in the industry.
