What's the Biggest Change in Mass Marketing?
One of the big changes is getting away from this kind of, like, numbers game sales thinking. We have a lot of campaigns now where we might be contacting like, 50 prospects a week. And that gives us a comparable, if not a better, return than back in the old days when we would contact hundreds or thousands of people per week. So i think, beyond that, another thing is personalization, which is one of these buzwords that i hate because it can mean anything.
