The Importance of Race in the Republican Party
Tim Scott is a black man running for the presidency as a Republican. He's not Alan Keats, right? He's not a post racial candidate. When he talks about from cotton to Congress, when he talks about his own experiences with driving while black, he sponsors police reform legislation. And I think part of what helps Tim Scott is Republicans are very sensitive to being called racists.
