Tailscale makes it easy to connect your devices directly to each other using WireGuard's noise protocol encryption. Tails you a flat mesh VPN and all your machines get essentially static IPs on this network. You can use DNS on this network and only the traffic for your tail net as they call it is sent over that VPN.
