Is There a Balance Between Data Science and ML Infrastructure?

The needs of a team of one or two or three data scientists are so different than if you're at a big company. We started off talking to smaller companies and what we learned is that a lot of smaller companies are exploring machine learning but aren't necessarily fully serious about it yet. Once you start increasing the number of people involved, things kind of cross this root kind of seriousness where you really need to invest time and energy in making sure your infrastructure is set up to serve you well.
