The Importance of India's Leadership in the G20
India has this moment. It's chairing the G20 and the G20 summit in Delhi I think in September. My sense is India is always a aspect to be major global power but unfortunately after the Second World War India did not find a place in the UN Security Council as a permanent member. But it's really in the 21st century when India began to grow with high growth rates thanks to the economic reforms of the 1990s that India's relative rise has taken place. So I would say this is the first big moment when India is actually handling a major international event.
