Elliot's Future at Liverpool

The prevailing narrative among Liverpool fans and certainly critics of Elliot has been that he's too defensively weak at this stage of his career to play properly. And the stats do kind of back that up in terms of the limit to the fence of contribution so if you look at Liverpool's midfield options this year, Elliot ranks dead last for tackles per 97 but a little bit better for ball recoveries with fifth and third is quite high for block passes. I think we don't want to sort of fall into that trap of looking at what are the Elliot can't do. I think it's fair to say he's a completely different type of right side and number eight in that four three three to watch Jordan
