There's still a fair chance that they're just not focusing on the old stuff. It would be kind of crazy though to go from an infinite resource to something you have to find and craft every time. I wonder if they might make it easier by some kind of system for having people just like auto harvest things such as fast collect. Only after you've played the entire game four times.
