Germany Concerned With Western Escalations in Ukraine
There are currently no US nuclear weapons deployed in countries that joined NATO after the end of the Cold War, but that could change. Poland has previously called for the deployment of US nukes on its territory and Polish President Andre Duda said last year that he had discussed the issue with Washington. The Alliance is building up its presence in countries that border Ukraine and Russia known as NATO's eastern flank.
