The Importance of Trotsky's History of the Russian Revolution
Trotsky stands as somebody who thinks the sequencing from 1905 onward in ways that I think are extraordinarily robust. The other thing about Trotsky's history is he's just an excellent writer. And it's just very engaging to read. It doesn't feel like a book that is 1200 pages long, and you can really get into it. There are certain, again, there are others like John Reed or Victor Serge, I like as well but Trotsky's really stands apart from them. Fabulous.
