Is There a Bondage to This Idea of Self?

Paul: "We're in the act of being defeated by self right now" He says he was always wondering because his head would obsess over some insane, meaningless shit. The only possibility for him to be free from it was if he could recognize a foreign pathogen of self as being something other than me. That's how easy it is to fake that out and I've lost all sense of myself but how beautiful this recognition brings.
