The Importance of Idolatry in the Life of Joaz

Joaz is trying to figure out how to make God like him. He sees the suffering as people which they deserve because of their sins. And so what does he do? He says, you know what, I'm gonna send a savior, a Mosheah. So sin, result of sin, divine compassion, divine action of salvation for all the humanity in the Savior Christ himself.
