Everything has to be filtered through this mass media that we all were weaned on. The kids of the 80s are really the first kids. They don't even understand what a commercial is. But they are, they're weirdly compelling. And then the commercials sold the shows in the 80s and the shows sold the commercials or sold the toys and it was a loop.
