We're using HTTP server events and we can scale up to web sockets. But the developer experience is simple. You just change two lines of code instead of find, you do live query instead of then you do subscribe. The back end itself has an understanding that you are registered to a specific query. So when an update comes to that data set, it knows to push messages back to you.
