Don't Use the Defaults of Any Tool
Every default that i've ever seen uses categorical colors for the default charts. So every data series is going to be a different color. We don't realize that, again, these very basic defaults actually create extra work for our audience. And if you can, i try and put everything else in shades of grey, so that it's in the background.
