I think that the speaker's plan, which looks like it's going to be a series of relatively lower dollar cuts and still painful cuts in domestic programs without addressing the real fundamental fiscal challenge we have. Who's going to blink on that? Well, I think it's a question of blinking. We went through this in 2011 in the Obama White House. In the end, we'll just see how close to the edge Republicans choose to take us before they do the responsible thing.
