The Oxygen Cascade
complex traits are known to be controlled by just a few alials at a single genetic locust. We teach much more rarely about complex traits that depend on large collections of lower level traits. Graham Scott from mc master university studies what's poetically called the oxygen cascade. The oxygen cascade is a complex trait, and graham and his colleagues are interested in how they evolve when populations are subjected to strong select for high maximal metabolism in the shell.
