The Life and Times of Alama Tabatabahi

Alama Tabatabahi was born in 1904 into a family with long-standing scholarly credentials. He led an ascetic life, like Sub-Zavari before him, venerated the Shiite imams. His commentary on the Quran took about 20 years to write and is distinguished by its insistence on using the Quran to interpret itself.
