If i was guaranteed a hundred % return, well then sure i'd pay 20% or 30%. The problem is the returns aren't guaranteed. So you have to understand your risk reward choices and potential. I think it's so hard to say, oh, i'm going to make a hundred % this year, or 50 percent. That is so speculative. It is. Think about those people that paid forty thousand dollars for coin and were thrilled when it went up to 60k per coin. Then they weren't so happy when it went down to 20k each. There's no sure thing in investing, apart from a c d or a treasury.
