How to Write a Killer Query Letter
Don't feel like you have to do the whole pitch right there in person. You can just get their card and ask if you can send them something. I would never pitch unless they asked for it. And then I would give them the two-line elevator pitch. One son of Blue Moon, they asked for more and you entered an actual conversation about the story. But you shouldn't be expecting that. With a query you have to sell it very concisely and very precisely.
