Deep Work: Rules for Focus Success in a Distracted World
Deep Work is the term I coined to describe the activity of focusing without distraction on a cognitively demanding task. The opposite of Deep Work is shallow work, which I had to find to be work that it doesn't require intense, undistracted focus. It's not that one is good or one is bad, but there are two different types of work. They both have their value and recognizing that you need to do both was a real step forward for me.
