Python and the Engineering Side of the House of Netflix

When I started using Python in the engineering side of the house of Netflix, at the time, there wasn't really a lot of appetite for Python in engineering. And it felt like I was the first one proposing to build production services with Python. My boss would have much preferred that I spend the two or three months to learn Java. But he let me sort of run with it and validate that that was a good idea.
